  i am remaining "in" for the time being, for my family, so with that said.... i fear my niece (9) and nephew (6) will be assimilated into the borganization therefore i try to covertly undermine their indoctrination hoping that if they choose to be a witless it will be just that, their choice.

  regardless of their path, i know my sister and bil will not plan anything for their children's futures, i don't want them to needlessly struggle because they never got the opportunities a normal child wouldve and i believe that, in or out, a higher education at least gives them a chance, i was thinking of secretly starting a small college fund for each of them.. what do you think?

  would any of you parents be offended by this?

  I appreciate all your comments and suggestions; I'm in the US and will look into the 529 college plans.

  I intend on keeping full control of any monies, none of it will be given directly to them; funds will either be paid directly to an establishment for tuition, books, supplies etc. or will go for my retirement.

  I also will use discretion on when, if and how I let them know about it.

  And don’t worry, at ages 6 and 9 I’m already dropping “hints” and slight suggestions about their future. It’s nothing bad or apostate, just innocent things like asking what they plan on doing if this system keeps going until they’re old? And, then what, what will you do? It gets them to think of the future, their future, something the borg doesn’t want them to do.

  i was walking through a busy part of london this morning at 8am, the mainstreets were full of commuters and workers on their way to begin their day.

  of course out in full force were the cheaply dressed jw young pioneers.

  all sporting battered cases and a wodge of mags in hand.

  YAY, I may be getting to go stag again this year!

  That means I can head out like I'm going, but then just skip it and go shopping, see a movie or whatever.

  I'm hoping that if anyone who can't get out of going, and has to suffer through the BS, can be nice enough to tell the rest of us about the new releases (and the talks that go along with them); this way those of us fortunate enough to play hooky only have to show up and get "personal copies" making everyone else believe we actually went.

  Come on please help a sister out.

  who cares if a select few appreciate a poster's comments!

  a great witty poster who was most informative but got easily riled when his threads/comments didn't get the feedback he expected.

  he, for the most part left.. this community is fickle, appreciative, happy, depressed, gifted and not so gifted.

  when i first woke up i used to feel uncomfortable when people would call the wt a cult.

  i thought it was a lil extreme.

  after more research and study i came to the conclussion that it is not only a cult but a mind controlling cult.. today after thinking on the definition of what terrorism is and according to wiki:.
